We spent time in Georgia visiting my sister Janet, her husband and all their children and grandchildren. Danica did great on the plane on the way down, but was a little fussy on the way back. My Mom is still very tired from the trip, but she remembers the trip, (their big, big dog) and that she had a "wonderful time".
Danica is growing like a weed, we haven't weighed her since her last check up. But, we are guessing she is up to 14#. I have packed away all of her newborn clothes and some of her 0-3 month clothes. She got a second tooth on vacation and is now working on another. If her cheeks weren't so chubby, she would look like a vampire. Her hair is getting more curly by the day. She is able to hold her head up and Keith has seen her roll completely over from her back to her stomach a few times.
We went to Michigan City shopping today and Mawa and Papaw West babysat. She stayed awake from 11-5:30 when we picked her up entertaining them. She kicked and kicked and kicked, drooled, smiled, cooed, etc. She wore her University of Tennessee outfit and Papaw loved it. Daddy wore an orange T-shirt so he could match.
She is still not sleeping through the night, but she definitely is having days when she is awake almost the whole day, like today. She starts daycare/preschool next week on Tuesdays - Thursdays. Daddy will get to spend Mondays with her and Abby watches her on Friday and Saturday afternoons. She is getting shots on Wednesday.
Keith is counting the weeks until we can feed her cereal, he thinks it will help her sleep through the night. Our doctor is saying 4 months and I sure she'll be ready. She is already watching us eat. I'll be sad when she sleeps through the night, because then she'll move downstairs at night to her crib... and I won't be able to see her in the middle of the night without going downstairs.
