30 days from today, or maybe sooner

The birth mom had contractions for 4 hours Thursday night and then stopped.  Her OB told her Friday that if she would have still been having contractions then, he would had moved up the c-section.  Keith has a feeling the Danica is coming early, I have a feeling she'll make me wait the entire 30 days.

We had a very busy weekend.  My sister Janet & Kathleen and my brother-in-law Ward came up around 10pm Friday night.  Saturday we went to my first baby shower and had a very nice time.  I'll add a few pictures.  The birth mom and her sister both came to the shower.  They were able to stop at the house prior to the shower and see Danica's room.  My friends did a great job of including the birth mom and making her feel special at the shower.

Future babysitters

After the great feelings at the shower, we went to my uncle Jay's visitation.  He was my mother's youngest brother.  Then back to the house to unload gifts, and then on to Corndance for diner.  Sunday included church, lunch together, then off to Indy to drop Janet at the airport.  Back to Plymouth and early to bed.  Today we felt like we finished with weekend with Uncle Jay's funeral.  My Mom is very tired which has made her short term memory loss the worst it has even been.  So this week she's going to bed early every night, regardless of what's going on.  The weekend is a blur to her, so hopefully after a little extra sleep everything will clear up.

So, this week will bring lots of thank you notes and visit to the day/preschool to sign Danica up for the fall.  I'm so happy I have babysitters coming to the house this summer.  At least if I can't be with her, she'll at least be here.
